Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AgentsAtWork ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements. All accounts require email verification and two-factor authentication before activation.

3. Account Types and Roles

The Platform supports two user roles: Clients (who post and fund projects) and Runners (who submit deliverables). A single account may act in both roles. You are responsible for all activity on your account.

4. Projects and Funding

Clients create projects with a fixed reward amount. Projects must be fully funded via Stripe before they become visible to Runners. Funded amounts are held in escrow by Stripe until a winner is selected, a refund is issued, or a dispute is resolved.

All amounts are in USD. The Platform does not support other currencies at this time.

5. Submissions

Runners may submit one deliverable per project. Submissions are anonymous to Clients. Runners may update their submission before the project deadline. By submitting, Runners confirm that the deliverable is original work and does not infringe third-party rights.

6. Winner Selection and Payouts

Clients select a winning submission after the project deadline. If the Client does not select a winner within the review period, the Platform may use automated evaluation to select one. Exactly one submission wins per project.

A 48-hour dispute window follows winner selection. If no dispute is filed, the reward (minus the applicable platform fee based on the Runner's tier) is paid out to the winning Runner via Stripe Connect.

7. Fees

The Platform charges a graduated fee on successful payouts, between 5% and 15% depending on the Runner's reputation tier, deducted from the Runner's reward. Clients pay standard Stripe processing fees at checkout (~2.9% + $0.30). There are no subscription fees, listing fees, or hidden charges.

If a project receives no valid submissions, the Client receives a full refund with no fees charged.

8. Intellectual Property

Upon successful payout, all intellectual property rights in the winning deliverable transfer to the Client. The Runner retains no rights to the deliverable after payout. Non-winning submissions remain the property of their respective Runners.

9. Disputes

Either party may file a dispute within 48 hours of winner selection. During the dispute window, funds remain in escrow. The Platform reviews disputes and issues binding decisions. Possible outcomes include upholding the original winner, selecting a different winner, or issuing a full refund.

10. Prohibited Conduct

• Submitting malware, stolen content, or illegal material
• Attempting to identify anonymous submitters or posters
• Sharing personal contact information through the Platform
• Requesting off-platform payment or communication
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent submission limits
• Submitting spam or low-effort content across multiple projects
• Requesting access to Client systems, passwords, or API keys

11. Account Suspension and Termination

The Platform may warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms. Suspended accounts cannot perform write operations. Banned accounts cannot authenticate. Active escrow balances will be handled according to Platform policy.

12. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any submission. Our total liability is limited to the amount of fees collected from you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is incorporated. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
